NIPT Test Process - What to Expect

The process is simple. After discussing the procedure with your dedicated genetic expert, he or she will help you find the closest sample collection center. A small sample of blood is collected from the mother's arm – which poses no risk of miscarriage unlike an amniocentesis or CVS – and is sent to the Medgenome lab in Bangalore. You will receive your results, which you can discuss with your gynecologist and genetic counsellor, within 15 days.
